Our story
Finding a good apartment in a new city can mean endless scrolling and listings that don’t match reality. Kigali Stays takes a more personal approach: instead of a booking engine, you talk to a person who listens to what you need and suggests suitable places.
Our founder
Meet Stephen
Hi, I’m Stephen, the founder of Kigali Stays. I have lived in Rwanda for many years, and I truly love this country: its people, its culture and the warmth you feel the moment you arrive.
I have worked in short-term rentals for more than a decade, and hosting has never stopped feeling special to me. There is real joy in welcoming someone to Rwanda, “the land of a thousand hills”, and helping them feel at home from day one.
That is why I started Kigali Stays: to offer a personal way to find the right place. When you message us, you are talking to someone who cares about your stay and wants you to enjoy Kigali as much as I do. I look forward to welcoming you.
How we match guests to apartments
- Share your trip details. Send us your dates, number of guests and budget, through the enquiry form or directly on WhatsApp.
- Tell us what matters. Preferred area, bedrooms, work setup, accessibility needs or arrival time.
- Receive tailored options. We discuss suitable apartments with you on WhatsApp and check availability for your dates.
- Confirm with full details. Ask for actual photos, the location, capacity, amenities, total cost, and payment and cancellation terms before you confirm.
Sending an enquiry does not reserve a property. Your booking is confirmed separately by the team.
